The supply model

One fixed supply. A genesis cap that cannot be exceeded. Everything not allocated at genesis stays available for the network to earn.

Total supply33,333,333.33 ZBCFixed forever
Genesis allocation cap3,333,333.33 ZBC10% hard cap
Minimum coinbase pool30,000,000 ZBCGrows if genesis allocates less

Genesis is carved out, not added

Total supply is one immutable number: 33,333,333.33 ZBC. The genesis allocation is carved out of it. The coinbase pool is exactly the total minus whatever is actually allocated at genesis.

The genesis cap is 10% of supply and will never be exceeded. Any part of that cap not allocated before launch is never minted at genesis. It stays in the coinbase pool and goes to nodes that run the network.

Emission ends completely

Emission runs for 15 years. After that, nodes earn from transaction fees alone.

On-chain amounts are counted in atomic units: 1 ZBC equals 100,000,000 atomic units. Every protocol rule and API counts in that official sub-unit.

Where the money goes

Supporter-sale proceeds fund the ZooBC Foundation, and the foundation spends them on the network. Part goes to the infrastructure that keeps the public chain reachable: gateways, seed nodes, the block explorer and the wallet. Part goes to making ZooBC easy to adopt: manuals, tutorials, developer tools and independent security audits. Part goes to marketing and promotion, so that the people and organisations who could use the network learn that it exists. And part goes to grants for the applications built on it.

The goal is a chain that is used, not just traded. ZBC is a utility token: it pays for the services that applications run on the network, from notarisation to the built-in exchange to the decentralised services on the roadmap. The foundation's work is to close agreements with companies and organisations that need this blockchain and its wallet for their own operations. Every such agreement brings real traffic, and real traffic is what gives ZBC demand from use rather than from speculation, and what keeps transaction costs low for everyone.

ISSUANCE

Emission

The remaining supply follows a fixed 15-year curve. The curve is cumulative, so each block reward is the difference between two points in real time.

Vesting is a chain rule, not a promise

Vesting is decided by the quantity you buy, using the same five tiers that set the price. Small allocations are liquid at genesis. Larger allocations are released in equal instalments over 6 to 24 months. Vesting is enforced by the protocol itself from the genesis block, in mint mode: coins that have not vested do not exist yet, cannot move, and cannot leak early.

Delivery cadence is the buyer's choice, at any interval down to the second, with daily, weekly and monthly as standard options. The first instalment arrives one period after genesis. Sale allocations are irrevocable: the foundation cannot cancel or claw them back, and only the recipient can redirect future instalments.

Shorter vesting. Give up 10% of your allocation to halve the vesting duration, or give up 20% to have the rest liquid at genesis. Coins given up are never minted and stay in the coinbase pool for the network.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Understand the payment and account path first.

Payments are accepted in supported cryptocurrencies (see below), including stablecoins, or through other arrangements with the Foundation, including bank transfer.

BUY WITH CRYPTO

Copy the address: Verify.
Open your wallet: Send.

There is no payment gateway and no account to create. You send from your own wallet to a ZooBC Foundation address, and at mainnet the ZBC is credited to the exact same address you sent from, on the ZooBC chain. That is why two checks come before sending: the address must be verified against the blockchain, and the wallet you send from must be one whose private key you hold.

  1. 01Run the calculation

Your current result is $500.00 for 833.33 ZBC.

    Recalculate

The minimum allocation is $500. Anything below is treated as a donation with no ZBC allocation.

  2. 02Prove you hold the key

Send only from a wallet whose private key or recovery phrase is yours: MetaMask, a hardware wallet, a mobile wallet you set up yourself. Never from an exchange account, whichever exchange it is, and never from a smart-contract wallet (Safe, Argent, account-abstraction wallets). The ZBC goes to the same address that sent the funds; if you cannot sign with that address, you can never move the ZBC.

Test it before you send, without exposing anything: with your own wallet, on any device, even one that is offline, sign the message: I control this address. Then open the signature checker, choose the chain, paste the message, the signature and your address. If the checker confirms the match, you hold the key. If your wallet cannot produce a signature at all, stop: it is not a wallet you control. The checker never asks for a private key or a recovery phrase; nothing that asks for those should ever be used.

    Open the signature checker

Ethereum-format address? The same private key that signs on Ethereum signs on ZooBC. You can already import it into the ZooBC testnet wallet to see the account, and a guide to moving ZBC with that key will be published before mainnet.

  3. 03Verify the address against the blockchain

Do not trust the address as printed on this page. The official deposit addresses are published in one file, and the fingerprint of that file is recorded on the ZooBC blockchain. A hacked website can change a page; it cannot change the chain.

    1. Download deposit-addresses.txt from the verify page.
    2. Drop the file on the verify box. It must come back on-chain. If it says anchor pending or unknown, stop.
    3. Open the file and compare the address you are about to use with the one in the file, character by character, and the network too.
    Check the fingerprint yourself

Any of these prints the SHA-256 fingerprint of the file. It must match the fingerprint shown on the verify page and on the chain.

    macOS: shasum -a 256 deposit-addresses.txt
    Linux: sha256sum deposit-addresses.txt
    Windows: certutil -hashfile deposit-addresses.txt SHA256
    python3 -c "import hashlib,sys;print(hashlib.sha256(open(sys.argv[1],'rb').read()).hexdigest())" deposit-addresses.txt

The fingerprint is served from the chain itself at zoobc.network/api/v1/release/list and listed in the block explorer.

  4. 04Send and save the transaction ID

Send from the wallet you tested in step 02, to the address you verified in step 03, on the matching network. USDC and USDT must travel on Ethereum. Preview every character before confirming; crypto transfers cannot be reversed.

USDC and USDT count at face value. Other coins convert to USD at the rate on the day they arrive. Keep the transaction ID: it is your only receipt. At mainnet, the same address receives its ZBC according to the published vesting.

You do not need to contact anyone. If you want a confirmation, message the foundation on Signal or by with the transaction ID. genesis [at] zoobc [dot] foundation

Never send from an exchange account or a smart-contract wallet. Never send on a network other than the one listed next to the address. Never use an address you did not verify against the chain. Each of these loses the funds with nothing to undo.

SENDING FROM AN EXCHANGE?

Without the key, the ZBC is lost.

Coins sent from an exchange account leave from an address whose private key belongs to the exchange, not to you. At mainnet the ZBC would be credited to that address, and nobody could ever move it: not you, not the exchange, not the foundation. The only thing that moves ZBC is the private key or recovery phrase of the address that sent the funds.

If your crypto sits on an exchange, do not send from there. Withdraw it first to a wallet you control, one with a recovery phrase that is yours, and send from that wallet following the steps above. Or contact the foundation, give a ZBC receiving address you control, and use the assisted path.

Confirm my transfer on Signal
SELF-CUSTODY / ANONYMOUS

Send directly from a key you control.

Choose a supported asset below, verify its foundation address against the chain (step 03), and use Send in your wallet. USDC and USDT count at face value; other assets convert to USD at the rate on the day they arrive. At mainnet the ZBC is credited to the exact same address you sent from, and only its private key or recovery phrase can ever move it.

See every accepted asset

Network check: sending USDC or USDT here requires Ethereum. Do not choose Base, Solana, Polygon, or another network because the address looks compatible.

NO CRYPTO? START HERE

Use cash through a bank transfer.

You do not need to buy cryptocurrency first. Message the ZooBC Foundation on Signal or email the foundation and say that you want to participate by bank transfer. Wait for the foundation to provide and confirm the transfer instructions before sending money.

  1. Open the ZooBC.88 Signal chat, or email the foundation.
  2. Say you want to participate using a bank transfer.
  3. Follow only the instructions confirmed by the foundation.

Foundation-assisted participation

Purchases can be made without a public identity. You provide only a ZooBC address or public key derived from your own BIP39 mnemonic. That address is included in the genesis block with the allocation.

Deposit addresses are provided at purchase time, so no one should expect a one-to-one public match between any listed deposit address and genesis allocations.

Completely anonymous participation

If you prefer not to contact anyone, deposit directly to one of the foundation accounts below. USDT and USDC count at face value; every other coin converts to USD at the rate on the day it is deposited.

The sale closes 7 February 2027, or when the public pool is gone, whichever comes first.

Every address below is also in deposit-addresses.txt. Verify the file against the chain (step 03) before using any of them.

How the same address claims ZBC

ZooBC natively supports accounts in these address formats, so purchased ZBC is credited to the same address in ZooBC. The same private key that signs on the origin chain signs ZooBC transactions.

You can use the testnet wallet now: open the ZooBC wallet, choose Import a key, paste the recovery phrase or 64-character hex secret key, and select the matching wallet format. At mainnet, the same account appears in the genesis block and the same private key claims those funds, immediately or on their vesting schedule.

Generate a genesis account using the BIP39 instructions for Zoo Blockchain, coin type 883.

NETWORK COSTS

Fees

Every transaction uses one formula, and the resulting fees support the nodes keeping the network running.

Base action fee today0.025 ZBCAdjustable by node vote
Exchange taker fee0.1%Paid to the producer
Vote intervalMonthlyCommit and reveal

One fee formula

Every transaction type pays a base action fee, currently 0.025 ZBC, multiplied by a network-voted fee scale, plus storage rent proportional to the bytes permanently stored. A bare transfer costs about 0.025 ZBC; storage rent becomes visible on large payloads.

The fee scale is voted monthly by registered nodes. The median revealed vote wins, and each adjustment is clamped between 0.5x and 2x. Storage rates require a two-thirds registry supermajority.

Where fees go

Overpaying the fee on a simple ZBC transfer is refunded automatically in the same block. Fees join the same participation-weighted pool as coinbase and are paid to network nodes.

The exception is the built-in exchange taker fee of 0.1%, which goes to the producer. For ZBC-backed tokens, a fee can be paid in the token itself: fee tokens are burned and an equal portion of their ZBC backing pays the network, so the sender does not need to hold ZBC to move a backed token.

The testnet already runs the mainnet fee schedule. Every fee shown here is today's value and remains adjustable by node vote.

NODE REWARDS

How rewards reach a node

Rewards follow participation in the network, not hardware ownership or the size of a stake.

Every block's coinbase and transaction fees are paid across the nodes that keep the network running, weighted by participation score: being online, relaying, and vouching for other nodes' blocks with receipts.

Each block's reward goes to up to 15 winning nodes, one per second of block interval, selected through a participation-score-weighted lottery. A node's reward is an expectation over time, not a guaranteed payment on every block.

Request a node allocation

Separate from the protocol stake. The node allocation fee is not a stake and is not paid in ZBC. It reserves a place in the genesis node cohort. The refundable 100 ZBC registration stake applies only to nodes that join after genesis. The price of the next available place is confirmed by the foundation when you apply.

GENESIS REGISTRY

Want coinbase from block zero? Run a testnet node.

To be eligible for the mainnet registry at genesis, a node must be registered and running on testnet for at least two months before genesis, and hold a genesis node allocation (see above). Three or more months on testnet is recommended because the emission curve is front-loaded.

Testnet deadline14 Dec 2026Two months before genesis
Stake at genesisNoneGenesis nodes are registered directly
SlashingNoneScore changes, principal does not
  • Genesis nodes post no stake. Nodes included in the genesis block are registered directly. The registration stake exists only for nodes that join after the chain has started.
  • After genesis, joining requires a refundable stake of 100 ZBC on mainnet. It stays locked while the node is registered and is returned in full when the node leaves, even if it is expelled for a zero participation score. On the current testnet the stake is 1 ZBC.
  • There is no slashing anywhere in the protocol. Misbehavior and downtime reduce participation score, never principal.
  • Genesis is the only way to skip the queue. After genesis, admission goes through a rate-limited queue ordered by locked stake: one node per admission window, never faster than one every 14 days once the network is large. The genesis path skips that queue.
