### Why the wallet is not hosted here

A browser keeps a site's data separate per origin. The wallet stores your encrypted keys in the storage of whichever origin served it, so the wallet must always be opened from the gateway that owns it. Serving a second copy from zoobc.com would create a second, separate store, and a copy nobody can check against the chain.

The gateway's wallet is a published release. Its fingerprint is recorded on chain, so you can confirm the file you received is the file ZooBC published: download it, then drop it on the [verify page](https://zoobc.network/verify) and the chain answers.

### Keeping a copy

The download is the same single file plus a README stating its hash. It runs from disk with no server and no install, which is what makes an air-gapped machine possible.
